The educational and social heart of the Santander Philharmonic Foundation.

The Orchestral and Choral Teaching Laboratory is the educational core of our Foundation. Through this model, we have designed our own methodology that combines instrumental and vocal training with human development, collective work, and community impact.

Here, artistic practice is not conceived solely as technical learning, but as an experience of comprehensive transformation: children and young people not only learn to play an instrument or sing in a choir, but also to live together, dream, express themselves, and build bonds with their environment through music.

What do we do in the laboratory?

• Orchestral (symphonic instruments) and choral training for children and young people between the ages of 3 and 24.

• Work on values, discipline, active listening, leadership, and teamwork.

• Community-based educational processes that involve families and strengthen the social fabric.

• Rehearsals, sectional and group classes, sample concerts, participation in local activities.

Our impact today

We currently have 160 active students from different sectors of Bucaramanga and its metropolitan area.

All of them have some type of scholarship, since orchestral and choral work, being part of our institutional mission, is free of charge for families. Of this group, 54 students receive a full scholarship, which also covers individual training, access to instruments, pedagogical support, and participation in concerts. Throughout our more than 13 years of history, we have trained more than 4,000 children and young people, many of whom are now part of universities, youth orchestras, and artistic groups inside and outside the country.

Each scholarship not only represents access to music lessons, but also inclusion, dignity, and the possibility of transforming reality through art.

Our dream for 2026: To sponsor 200 students

We have launched our Sponsorship Plan, a social and financial sustainability strategy that seeks to ensure the continuity and expansion of the Laboratory.

By 2026, we want to enable 200 students from vulnerable sectors to access this program with a full scholarship, allowing them to continue their training without economic barriers.

With your help, this dream is possible.

Be part of the change and bring music where it’s needed most

Why join us?

Because every child who receives a music scholarship also gains access to new forms of expression, identity, community, and hope. Because an orchestra is not just a stage—it’s a family, a space for collective transformation, and a network of possible futures. And because music, when shared, has the power to change lives.
